KAMPSVILLE, IL (KTVI)- Would you and your family enjoy the opportunity to learn about prehistoric peoples and archeology? Then join the Center for American Archeology in Kampsville, IL for its next  Family Excavation Day on July 30, 2016. The day combines an introduction to archaeological excavation with the exploration of prehistoric life.

The program runs from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Tuition is $40 per person and covers supplies and instruction. Bring a picnic lunch or dine at a local restaurant.  This event is open to children ages 7-17 and their families and guardians.
