Man shot in downtown St. Louis over car repair payment

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)- St. Louis police are searching for a man wanted in connection with a shooting in downtown St. Louis late Saturday.  The suspect allegedly  shot the victim over $20.00.

According to investigators, the shooting happened around 9:00pm in the 200 block of N. 9th Street  in downtown St. Louis. The victim, a 31- year old man that lives in an downtown apartment, got into an argument with the suspect over repairs that had been done to the victim's vehicle.   Reportedly,  the suspect believed the victim owed him $20.00 for the repair work, but the victim denied it. That’s when the suspect opened fire.

The victim was shot two times, once in the right arm and once in the abdomen.  He walked on his own accord to a nearby police station to report the incident.  Police are searching for the suspect who fled the scene in a white vehicle.

The investigation is ongoing but the victim is reportedly being uncooperative with detectives.
