(KTVI) – A local filmmaker is getting set for his second full length feature debut Wednesday night.

Fox 2’s Patrick Clark introduces us to the young director tackling some heavy subjects in his new sports drama.

If there`s a pep in David A. Malone`s step it`s because his sports drama is about to reach the finish line.

The Chesterfield Galaxy 14 Cine on Wednesday will show his second full length film.

So for his sophomore effort at a full length feature, this junior film production major from Webster University is following the ups and eventual downs of a freshman named RJ.  The character battles bullying, peer pressure, drugs and addiction in the two-hour sports drama called “The Dark Days”.

The homegrown movie that took two and a half years to make will get the red carpet treatment Wednesday night when “The Dark Days” will finally see the bright lights on the big screen.
