WEST ALTON, MO (KTVI) - Friends and family are gathering to remember a man stabbed to death last weekend. The body of Chiristopher Gernigin, 29, was found right along the highway near the Clark Bridge. Family and friends have gathered with candles to celebrate Chris' life.

Three people have been arrested and charged with his murder. Larry Northcutt, 27, Brent Jones, 28, and Natasha Smith, 26. Northcutt has also been charged with armed criminal action.

Family members tell me that right before Chris was killed he had an argument with Northcutt, over a woman. Chris's family is out Friday night to show Chris is not forgotten.

Gernigin has four kids that live with their mother in Kentucky. He did not have any life insurance.
