COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) _ Authorities have arrested a man suspected in a deadly Columbia shooting.

The Columbia Missourian reports that police said in a news release that 18-year-old Tyrone James Jr. turned himself in over the weekend. He is charged with second-degree murder and armed criminal action in Wednesday’s killing of 17-year-old Marquez Reed in central Columbia. Bond is set at $1 million.

Police previously arrested 18-year-old Jadarius Sanders, who is charged with hindering the prosecution of a felony and tampering with physical evidence.

Police said an investigation found that Reed was involved in a disturbance with people in a vehicle that Sanders was driving and was shot while standing outside. The vehicle fled before police arrived.

No attorney is listed for either suspect in online court records.
