Band of heavy rain to sweep through St. Louis Friday night

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - A band of thunderstorms with pockets of heavy rain continues to develop out over Central Missouri and will be spreading East through this evening. An isolated strong wind gust or two is possible with these storms but the greater concern will come from lightning and especially heavy rain at times.

A slow moving wall of heavy rain, lightning and some gusty winds marches was through eastern Missouri and will be moving across the metro St. Louis area and highway 67 corridor between 8pm and 11pm. The biggest concern continues to be pockets of flash flooding to to the slow moving nature of these storms.

Most, if not all spots will get at least some rain, and a few could get several inches.
