ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – The band Poco shot to stardom as pioneers of the country rock genre. The group was formed in 1968 as a side project by Buffalo Springfield band mates Richie Furay, Jim Messina, and Rusty Young.

Poco frontman Rusty Young performs in St. Louis Friday night at The Old Rock House a benefit to help sick children heal through music.

The Ukulele Kids Club Benefit Concert will donate thousands of ukuleles to hospitalized children.
