Police identify victim in Walnut Park West murder

ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – Homicide detectives with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department have identified a man who was gunned down Monday afternoon in a north city neighborhood.

According to police, officers were called to the 5600 block of Hiller Place just before 4 p.m. in response to a shooting.

Officers found the victim, 31-year old Alexander Thomas, sitting in the back of a car that had crashed into an unoccupied vehicle parked along the curb. Thomas had been shot several times and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have not identified a possible motive or suspects.
