Grichuk & Gyorko lead Cardinals to Comeback Win over Phillies

Randal Grichuk’s 11th inning run scoring double rallied the Cardinals to a 4-3 win over the Phillies on Friday night in Philadelphia. The Cardinals had tied the game in the 9th inning on Jedd Gyorko’s 19th homer of the season. His two run blast evened the score at 3-3. Grichuk accounted for the other Cardinals run. His 15th home run of the season tied the game at 1-1 in the 2nd inning.

Alex Reyes pitched a scoreless bottom of the 11th inning to earn his first Major League save. The win is the Cardinals fifth straight and has them a season best nine games over the .500 mark (65-56).
