Death reported at City’s Workhouse

ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – St. Louis Mayor Slay’s office has confirmed a death of an inmate at the city’s workhouse.

Authorities say 34-year-old Amy Pollock of Tennessee was arrested July 19th and incarcerated at the medium security facility on July 25th.

Around 4:30 pm, Ms. Pollock was discovered unresponsive in her cell after hanging herself.  She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities believe no foul play was involved, stating she took her own life.
