HOUSTON, TX (KTRK) - An accident, a burning car, and a dramatic rescue.  It all played-out in Houston saturday night.  Lauren Lea spoke to one of the Good Samaritan rescuers.

A man trapped inside this burning car may not have made it out alive if it wasn't for a group of Good Samaritans.

Kristen Piper was one of about 20 every day citizens who rescued the man on FM 1960 near Champion Forest.

She's a medical assistant who stopped to help.

Tonight she  retraced her steps, pointing out where the car hit a utility pole and took out a stop sign.

This cell phone video was taken after the man was saved, people tried dousing the fire, breaking windows, even rocking the car to help the man stuck inside.

And Kristen and a surgeon tech pulled the man to safety.

Firefighters and police arrived after the man had been saved, and no information about his condition was available.

But Kristen is grateful for so many kind strangers.
