ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – The weather was great this weekend, which meant a lot of people got to spend Labor Day weekend outdoors. Reporter Katherine Hessel was in Forest Park where people are still soaking up the last few hours of this nice holiday weather before the extreme heat arrives.
A lot of people spent this weekend outdoors and festival organizers say they could not have asked for a better weekend.
The Japanese festival in the botanical gardens was packed.
People enjoyed what felt like fall temperatures.
This weekend was also the 99th annual St. Nicholas Greek festival.
The festival was so successful that Monday around four they actually ran out of food.
The organizers tell me she can’t remember the last time that happened.
She says last year was terribly hot but this year’s temperatures more than made up for it.
