O’FALLON, MO (KTVI) – A man has been taken into custody following a stand-off with O'Fallon police on Diamond Point Court Saturday night.

Police Chief Roy Joachimstaler told Fox2 News police responded for a domestic call around 5:30 pm.  There were shots fired inside of the home.  When police arrived, they were able to safely get a woman out, but her husband was still inside with a gun.

Police negotiated with 54-year-old Douglas Daniel Tenbarge for nearly 3 hours with the man repeatedly appearing at the front door with a gun multiple times.  Police fired non-lethal rounds striking the man, but he went back into the house.  A short time before 10:00 pm, the man surrendered.

Tenbarge has been charged with domestic assault first degree and armed criminal action.

His bond has been set at $100,000  cash only.
