NOVI, Mich. - An act of compassion and team work on the field, led to a play that one Michigan high school student with Down syndrome and his teammates will never forget.
Novi High School senior Robby Heil, who normally serves as the team water boy, was rewarded for his dedication to the team by taking the field for a play and scoring a touchdown, following a discussion with the opposing team.
Robby, who’s been a part of the team for four years, said he scored the touchdown for his mother, who is suffering from cancer.
