JENNINGS, MO (KTVI) – If you want to know anything about the City of Jennings, just ask Linda Schmerber.

She’s donated more than 30 years of research on the history of Jennings. Schmerber’s friend and former high school classmate, Larry Booher, nominated her for the Pay It Forward award and a $500 gift card from First Bank.

Linda has spent her own money, time, and talent to write a book about the history of the north St. Louis County municipality of Jennings. She operates the Jennings Historical Society and has collected hundreds of artifacts, including photos, pennants, trophies, letters, and many other items. She gives tours and arranges reunions – all for no pay. She just wants to share her passion about the City of Jennings.

Linda graduated from the old Fairview High School in Jennings, which closed in 1969. She helped organize an all Fairview School reunion that will be held this weekend.
