USS Missouri crew encourages young people to embrace STEAM

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – USS Missouri Commander Fraser Hudson gave insight to what it’s like to live in a 400 foot long sub with 135 crew members!

Fraser Hudson spent a week on the battleship USS Missouri back in 1991 on it’s final voyage! On the sub, they have the Missouri flag and other Missouri memorabilia!

The Missouri Crew talked more about their experience and about the USS Missouri sub.

Crew members are interacting with the community, explaining the importance of a strong maritime capability and encouraging young people to embrace STEAM (science, technology,engineering, arts, math) in their education.

There are opportunities in the Navy, both military and civilian.

The Navy commits $50 + million each year to STEAM projects across the nation, in support of national security. Department of Defense invests in STEAM activities in the St. Louis metro area.
