ST.  CHARLES COUNTY, MO (KTVI)-  St. Charles County has purchased the former New Melle Lakes Golf Course on Foristell Road near Highway Z, which has not been in use since 2011. The 153-acre property connects to other park properties that are being held in reserve by the St. Charles County Parks & Recreation Department.

The County purchased the golf course at market price of $15,000 an acre. The purchase brings the total County-owned land at that site to 395 acres. Specific plans for development are still being finalized.
