COLLINSVILLE, IL (KTVI) - The ambush on Officer Snyder and other recent attacks against law enforcement has moved a little girl and her father to take action.

Eight-year-old Samantha Reifsteck got out of school early Wednesday because she had very important assignment to deliver lunch to Illinois State Troopers in Collinsville.

When increased violence against law enforcement began in the spring the grade schooler and her father formed the organization Feed the Force to show local officers their support and appreciation.

Today barbecue was on the menu for the officers, along with a side of overwhelming gratitude from such a young girl.

To thank Samantha troopers gave her toys and an official Illinois State Police patch.
