Body pulled from Mississippi River

ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – Homicide detectives with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department are investigating the circumstances surrounding a body found floating in the Mississippi River.

According to Leah Freeman, a police spokeswoman, the body was first seen in the river at the 5500 block of Hall. The St. Louis Fire Department responded and recovered the body at 1st and Chouteau.

An autopsy will be performed to determine the official cause of death.
