ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)- Republican Eric Greitens and Democrat Chris Koster spent the eve of Election Day canvassing the state in a last minute effort to turn out the vote before voters head to the polls Tuesday to choose the next Governor of Missouri.
Koster rallied with other Democratic candidates, Judy Baker, Russ Carnahan and Jason Kander at the IBEW Local 1 in The Hill neighborhood after stops in Columbia, Springfield and Clay County.
Martin Luther King, III also rallied with the Democratic candidates referencing his father’s fight for voting rights for all people.
“If my father were here today, he would say that tomorrow we have to vote like we’ve never voted before” King said.
Across town in Crestwood, hundreds of Greitens supporters rallied outside of the Greitens campaign office. Greitens campaigned with Lt. Governor candidate Mike Parson and included surrogates who trained in the Navy Seals with Greitens who spoke of his work ethic and fight to be the state’s next leader.
Greitens made nearly a dozen campaign stops Monday before his stop in St. Louis; including, Columbia, Kirksville and Cape Girardeau.
