ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – Mascot Madness for Salvation Army is quickly approaching and Salvation Army’s captain Matt O’Neil is here to talk more about the competition!

The Salvation Army Tree of Lights campaign kicked off last week, FOX 2 is a proud sponser again this year!

There are several high school groups competing this Saturday in the 4th annual Mascot Madness including Notre Dame High School, Cahokia High School, and Bayless High School.

The winning school will be presented with a traveling golden trophy and will also win Spencer from 106.5 the Arch as a dj for a school sponsored event of the winner’s choosing.

Local high schools will have the opportunity to raise money for the Salvation Army by bell ringing on Saturday, November 19 at their local Walmart stores.

Schools can get a head start on donations by collecting cash donations at their school, utilize mobile giving provided by the Salvation Army, contacting their alumni for donations, and sharing their challenge on social media.

Students will bell ring at their walmart locations from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
