PEORIA, Ill. (AP) _ Authorities say a missing central Illinois woman who was found dead in her crashed pickup truck along a Peoria County road died of injuries from the crash.

County Coroner Johnna Ingersoll tells The (Peoria) Journal Star that 40-year-old Jamie Harroun died of multiple blunt force trauma.

Harroun was reported missing about two weeks ago and Ingersoll said a hunter found her body Saturday morning in the wreckage of her truck along a road in western Peoria County.

Ingersoll says the Mackinaw woman’s pickup truck apparently left the road, went through a field, down a hill and struck an embankment. She says Harroun may have been headed to Pekin.

Harroun was last seen Oct. 31 in Galesburg. Her mother soon began appealing to the public for information about Harroun’s whereabouts.
