OVERLAND, Mo. (AP) – A graphic design student from St. Louis County missed out on a $164 million Powerball jackpot by one ball, but he’ll gladly take the consolation prize: $1 million.

The Missouri Lottery says 21-year-old Chaz Williams of Overland won the prize for the Oct. 26 drawing. He matched all five white-ball numbers — 2, 3, 16, 48 and 56 — but missed on the Powerball number.

He plans to use the winnings, in part, to pay off his tuition.
