ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)- The Operation Food Search is hosting its 18th annual Empty Bowls fundraiser this weekend in Frontenac. OFS is a non-profit organization that sells handcrafted bowls to raise area`s hunger awareness.

Executive Director, Sunny Schaefer shares how you can do your part!

In recognition of National Hunger and Homeless Awareness Week, Empty Bowls will take place Friday and Saturday, November 18th and 19th.

The ceramic bowls are handcrafted by artists, students and friends of Operation Food Search.

The messaging behind the bowl reminds them that someone`s bowl is empty and their efforts helped fill it.

Bowl prices range from $15 to $100.

For every dollar donated, Operation Food Search provides $21 worth of food and nutrition services to support the area`s hungry.
