Local troops are “Scouting for Food”

MAPLEWOOD, MO (KTVI) - Boy Scouts returned Saturday to pick up the plastic bags they left on your porch last weekend.

Mers Missouri Goodwill Industries is this year's scouting for food sponsor.

Thousands of scouts distributed approximately one-million bags last weekend.

Today scouts picked up just over 2 million food items.  Donations will go to the St. Louis Area Foodbank for distribution to other agencies.

Mers Goodwill will be collecting food donations from November 20th through the 26th.
