The Blues won their season high fourth straight game with a 4-2 triumph over the Bruins in Boston on Tuesday night. The game featured former Blues captain David Backes playing for the first time against his former team. Backes opened the scoring with a power play goal, giving the Bruins a 1-0 first period lead. The Blues took control of the game after that. They scored three second period goals (Jori Lehtera, Robert Bortuzzo and Paul Stastny) to build a 3-2 lead. Lehtera added an empty net goal late in the third period to insure the 4-2 win.

Jake Allen stopped a season high 39 shots to get the win in goal for the Blues.

St. Louis travels to Washington on Wednesday to face another former teammate, T.J. Oshie.
