ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - If you have an old working phone laying around, now is your chance to get rid of it and help out a member of our military. Illinois State Rep Jerry Costello stopped in to FOX 2 to talk about a program called "Cell Phones for Soldiers."

Jerry started this program last year and instead of collecting his goal of 50 cellphones, Jerry was able to collect 95 phones!

Soldiers will get two hours of  talk time/calling cards which will provide 250 hours of free talk time to troops stationed overseas through this year`s drive.

People can drop off phones at Costello`s full-time constituent service office at 124 Locust St. in Red Bud on Monday through Friday during normal business hours.

If you have any questions email Jerry Costello at or call 618-282-7284.
