Neighborhoods United for Change seek common ground for better communities

ST. LOUIS (KTVI) - Volunteers from 14 different neighborhoods came together Saturday to participate in a program on local government and community activism.

Neighborhoods United for Change paired volunteers for a day of touring each other`s neighborhood.

The effort helps them get to know others from different communities.

Volunteers from Holly Hills to the Shaw neighborhood, to Tower Grove took part in the event.

Neighborhoods United for Change was formed as a result of the events surrounding the Michael Brown`s shooting.

The project creates an opportunity for people to connect, an reflect on their similarities and respect their differences.
