SHREWSBURY, MO (KTVI) – Investigators with the St. Louis County and Shrewsbury police departments were called to the scene of a double shooting Monday morning.

According to Officer Benjamin Granda, a spokesman for the St. Louis County Police Department, the shooting took place around 6:50 a.m. in the 7800 block of Cardinal Ridge Court, just east of Laclede Station Road. Police found a man and woman in the home, each with a gunshot wound.

The victim and suspect were married, but currently separated. Police say the suspect gained entry to the home early this morning, but did not use force. The man allegedly shot the woman and then himself. A firearm was recovered at the home. Both suspect and victim had sustained a single gunshot wound.

The man, Christopher Daly, 45, was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman, Kenna Daly, 41, was taken to a local hospital where she later died from her injury.

A Canadian flag flies outside the house next to an American flag. A neighbor says the homeowners also had a home in Canada and would normally be in that country this time of year.

There were four others in the house at the time of the shootings, including the couple’s three children and a member of her family. She and the kids were staying with her family. No one else was injured in the incident.
