The `Gong Show” creator Chuck Barris dies at 87

NEW YORK (AP) _ The self-proclaimed ``King of Daytime Television'' who gave us ``The Dating Game,'' ``The Newlywed Game'' and ``The Gong Show'' has died. Chuck Barris was 87.

A publicist says Barris died of natural causes Tuesday afternoon at his home in Palisades, New York.
