ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – Music lovers of a certain age will remember the small, but beloved Laclede’s Landing concert venue known as Mississippi Nights. The setting is making a comeback in 2017, if in name only.

The inaugural Mississippi Nights Music Festival will be held in Laclede’s Landing over Memorial Day Weekend. Bands performing include the Steve Ewing Band, Jeremiah Johnson, Old Capital, Jake’s Leg, Miss Jubilee and the Humdingers, Ultraman, and more.

The festival hopes to become a Laclede’s Landing holiday weekend staple, like the Big Muddy Blues Festival is for Labor Day Weekend.

The biggest challenge facing the festival: How to best honor the legacy of Mississippi Nights, which closed in 2007 to make way for the Lumiere Place casino development?

The festival will be held on Friday, May 26 from 7:00pm-Midnight and on Saturday, May 27 from 3:00pm until 2:00am (Sunday). Advanced tickets are two for $15.00. Day of admission is $10.00. Kids 15 and under will be free.
