Predators Beat Blues 3-1 to take 2-1 Series Lead

Cody McLeod scored the game winning goal early in the second period, and the Nashville Predators beat the St. Louis Blues 3-1 on Sunday in Nashville, TN to grab a 2 games to 1 series lead in their Western Conference semifinal. The Predators other goals came from defensemen Ryan Ellis and Roman Josi. The Predators out shot St. Louis 34-23. Nashville has won seven straight playoff games on home ice, including all three this postseason.

Alexander Steen scored the only goal for the Blues, who lost for the first time on the road this postseason. St. Louis had won all three road games in Minnesota in their opening round playoff series.

Blues goalie Jake Allen kept St. Louis in this game stopping 31 shots.Nashville goalie Pekka Rinne finished with 22 saves, including a flurry of stops late in the game to preserve the win.

Game 4 is Tuesday night in Nashville.
