ST. LOUIS, Mo. _Normally, you don't need to see a doctor to treat knee pain most of these knee issues are caused by the same common problems and can often be treated at home.

According Dr. Richard Lehman with the U.S. Center for Sports Medicine, the knee is a complicated joint. It moves like a door hinge, allowing you to bend and straighten your legs in order to sit, squat, jump, and run.

He joined us on FOX 2 News in the Morning to explain.
