ALTON, IL — Law enforcement agencies meet today in Alton to discuss plans to add license plate reader cameras on the Clark Bridge. Those cameras would alert authorities when a stolen or wanted vehicle crosses the bridge.

Alton police want nearby communities to help pay for the cameras. They’re meeting today with the Madison County Sheriff’s Department, the village of Godfrey, and the DEA.
