ST. LOUIS, MO — Police are investigating an early morning shooting. The victim was shot while riding in a car.  The driver stopped at 9th and North Market in downtown St. Louis and called police around 1:15am Monday. The passenger in the backseat was shot at least twice in the back.

The victims tell investigators that they were driving north on North Broadway approaching North Market when a white Impala or Malibu began following them.  Someone in that vehicle fired shots at them.  They drove to N. 9th and Market where they called police

The victim was taken to a hospital and is listed in critical/unstable condition.
