Winterfest at the Arch

ST. LOUIS, Mo. _Grab your skates and hit the ice for some family fun at the newly renovated Kiener Plaza. Winterfest at the Arch kicks off Saturday, November 18 at 2 p.m. and runs through New Year`s Day.

The rink, made with real ice, will be open 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. every Thursday through Sunday. It's free to skate at the Winterfest rink if you bring your own approved ice skates or you can rent ones at the rink. Skates are $12 for adults and $7 for children 10 and under for one, one-hour session. Parking is available at Kiener West Self Park Garage and Kiener East Self Park Garage. The Winterfest rink will also be available for private party rentals on certain days of the week. Saturday's big kickoff coincides with the Ameren Missouri Festival of Lights and the lighting of the Salvation Army Tree of Lights. Festivities begin at 3 p.m. and conclude with the tree lighting ceremony and fireworks beginning at 7:30 p.m.

In addition to ice skating, the Gateway Arch Park Foundation and the St. Louis Blues have teamed up to bring several other events to the area in November and December. One Nation Night is coming to Winterfest at the Arch on Thursday, November 30 hosted by the St. Louis Blues and St. Louis Cardinals. Former players, Louie and Fredbird will be in attendance. Guests will also have the chance to win special prizes and giveaways.

On Saturday, December 2 the St. Louis Blues will be host a holiday toy drive at Winterfest and fans will get the chance to watch the Blues take on the Minnesota Wild on large outdoor screens in Kiener Plaza. Fans are encouraged to bring new, unwrapped toys for donation. FOX Sports Midwest will also be broadcasting live from the Winterfest rink during the Blues pregame, intermissions and postgame shows.
