Carjacker crashes vehicle in East St. Louis

T. LOUIS, MO — A car stolen in a carjacking crashes overnight in East St. Louis. The accident happened just before 1:30am Wednesday.

The driver hit a light pole at Bond Avenue and South 12th street, knocking out power to some apartments. The carjacker then ran off.

Police say the car was carjacked Tuesday somewhere in St. Louis city.
