Pedestrian killed on Manchester Road in Ballwin

BALLWIN, Mo. – A pedestrian died Tuesday night after being struck by a car on Manchester Road, the Ballwin Police Department said.

According to Det. Scott Stephens, a Ballwin police spokesman, the accident happened around 7:30 p.m. near Manchester and Old Ballwin roads.

Police said the male victim was transported to the hospital but later died from his injuries.

The driver of the vehicle stayed on scene and cooperated with the authorities, Stephens said.

Police are allowing the victim’s family to make funeral arrangements and other notifications before releasing the man’s identity to the public.
