Man hit, killed by light rail train in St. Louis after fall

ST. LOUIS – Authorities say a man hit and killed by a light rail train in St. Louis fell from a platform.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that police say 40-year-old Lyncha Johnson, of University City, appears to have been alone at the MetroLink’s Busch Stadium station Friday night when he fell. The train conductor found him on the eastbound tracks. Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

Police say his death comes less than two days after a man was hit while trespassing on the tracks west of the Grand station. The man was taken to a hospital with multiple broken bones.
