UPDATE: Missing 11-year-old girl found safe, St. Louis police say

ST. LOUIS – A missing fifth-grader has been located and is safe, St. Louis police said.

Authorities said 11-year-old Mia Conway was last seen at the Jack In The Box at Grand and Bates, just shortly after she left home around 5:30 p.m. on Monday, January 14.

Officer Michelle Woodling, a spokeswoman for the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, said Conway had been found. Additional information was not provided.

According to family members, Conway had left home before but only for a short period of time. However, they said this last time was different because she left behind some troubling notes.

Juvenile detectives had been investigating the child’s disappearance.
