Winter storm to bring accumulating snow to the St. Louis region Sunday

ST. LOUIS, MO—  A winter storm will impact the region starting early Sunday morning. A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued. Snow will spread into the region from west to east overnight into Sunday morning. Snow will be heavy at times through Sunday morning then will gradually taper off from west to east Sunday afternoon.

Much of the St. Louis region will be in the 3" to 5" range for accumulations, but up to 6" will be possible to the west and southwest. Temperatures will hold steady in the upper 20°s in the morning, then start to fall Sunday afternoon.  With snow on the ground, gusty winds, and clearing skies, Sunday night will be bitterly  cold with lows in the single digits and wind chills below zero to start Monday morning.
