Blood pressure recall expands, what you need to know

ST. LOUIS - A recall of some common blood pressure and heart failure meds has been expanded to include more drugs containing the ingredient "losartan." The recall is due to an impurity, which is classified as a potential carcinogen in humans.

Dr. Justin Sadhu, Washington University Cardiologist at Barnes-Jewish discussed how this potentially harmful ingredient gets into our medication and the risks it has if the drug is prescribed.
