SPRINGFIELD, Ill. –  Alternative rock band Shinedown will appear at the Illinois State Fair in August.

Officials announced Thursday that the multiplatinum-selling group will headline the Illinois Lottery Grandstand on Aug. 17.

Shinedown has sold 10 million albums worldwide, earned 11 platinum and gold singles and four platinum and gold albums.

And each of the group’s released singles has reached the Top 5 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Songs Chart.

The group performed the single “Get Up” from its latest album “Attention Attention” in January on “Live with Kelly & Ryan.”

The band’s 13th No. 1 record on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Songs Chart ties it with Van Halen for second-most in the history of the chart.
