Man charged with killing St. Louis woman in drug-filled home

RIVERVIEW, Mo. – Police say a child whose mother was fatally shot in a drug-filled St. Louis area home found the suspect standing over the woman’s body after hearing gunfire in the middle of the night.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that 31-year-old Anderson Stallings Jr. was charged Tuesday with first-degree and armed criminal action in the death of 30-year-old Eboni Brown. No attorney is listed for him in online court records.

Police say officers who responded Monday to the shooting at her home in Riverview found Stallings on the front porch. He told police that he was awakened by gunshots and that an unknown shooter had fled the home, where officers found 172 plastic bags of meth and an assault rifle.

Stallings also was charged in federal court with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
