
ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)-Actress Sheryl Lee Ralph is a well known advocate for HIV/AIDS awareness. She is in St. Louis for the National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day event at Harris-Stowe State University being held Saturday, February 7.
Plans for the day-long event include free HIV testing, health screenings, and Ralph’s one-woman show “Sometimes I Cry” at 1:00pm. Ralph founded the Divinely Inspired Victoriously AIDS Aware (DIVA) Foundation in 1990 as a memorial to the many friends she lost to HIV/AIDS. The organization focuses on generating resources and producing events that raise awareness and educate people around the world affected and infected by HIV/AIDS.
