ST. LOUIS, Mo. — Over the past several years scientific advances have been made in treating one of the most common types of leukemia.  Chronic lymphocytic leukemia or CLL is nearly twice as common in men as it is in women.   The average age of diagnosis is 70.   A new FDA approved treatment gives patients another option for managing this blood cancer.
