CHESTERFIELD, MO (KTVI) – Wings of Hope is an international agency that strives to provide peace and hope around the world. For over 50 years, the Chesterfield based organization has provided health care services in 47 countries around the world.

At just 24-years-old, Elsa Klarich, is the field director for Wings of Hope in Tanzania.  The west St. Louis County native got her pilot’s license when she was just  19 and graduated from Liberty University in Virginia with a degree in aeronautics. For the past two years, she has been a bush pilot flying for Wings of Hope in Tanzania.

Her days primarily consist of flying into remote villages and helping to provide medical care to the Maasai and Sanjo tribes. She will also fly emergency medical evacuation flights throughout Tanzania and Kenya.
