ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)-Author Carol Swartout Klein joined us on FOX 2 News in the Morning to discuss coloring books for adults. She also tells us about her book, Painting for Peace in Ferguson.

According to, it tells the story of the hundreds of artists and volunteers who worked to transform boarded up windows into works of art. Their messages of hope, healing and unity in Ferguson, Missouri were followed by protests and upheaval in the community in November, 2014.

Swartout Klein grew up in Ferguson. She was inspired by witnessing the spirit of those volunteers coming together to bring hope to a community in shock. Her goal was to capture the story and Painting for Peace in Ferguson is the result!
