MARYLAND HEIGHTS, MO. (KTVI) - The experts of Wamhoff Financial took over the FOX2 Call Center Friday to answer your tax questions.
Sandy Furuya said many are getting harassing phone calls and letters from people claiming to be from the IRS.  In some cases, the callers and senders are threatening to arrest taxpayers. She said the IRS will never call you and threaten to send you to jail. She recommended anyone receiving these calls hang up the phone immediately and report any correspondence to law enforcement.
She also recommended divorced couples be clear on which parent will claim children on their taxes. She says the same goes for parents of full-time college students, to make sure those students do not claim themselves.
