ST. LOUIS, MO- Christopher Green is working on a special portrait of the chairman and co-founder of worldwide technology David Steward and his wife Thelma.

The painting is part of a major initiative called, "Beyond the Walls Mural Project."

He believes this is something for people in the community to really observe and be curious as to who Steward is, especially the youngsters who don't know.

The images are on display in a crime ridden community, desperate to change its image. Drive down Page Boulevard between Skinker and Kingshighway and you'll see the likeness of some of St. Louis' most successful residents Posted on vacant buildings.

The prestigious collection pays tribute to dozens of dignitaries including, Martin Mathews, co-founder of Mathews Dickey Boys and Girls Club as well as entertainment mogul Eric Rhone and comedy king, Cedric The Entertainer.

Green says the project’s effort is to bring some beauty to the area that has been facing blight for a number of years. He hopes his art gives hope to the hopeless, especially children who may lose sight of their dreams.
